A Trumansburg man convicted of three misdemeanors is no longer employed as a deputy in the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
The Human Resources Department of Tompkins County confirmed he was not working for the sheriff’s office on Wednesday. A department representative declined to comment on whether he was fired.
The Ithaca Journal is awaiting a response from the department on when Vann’s employment with the sheriff’s office ended.
Tompkins County Sheriff Kenneth Lansing has declined to comment to journalists about the situation.
